Walking together through grief class 

​

Grief is Persistent. It’s a continual reminder That something is missing. Someone. It can make you feel like you're all alone, especially during the Holidays. But you don’t have to go through it alone.

 

Walking Together Through Grief is a class with a reflective element. We will spend time learning about what grief is and what it can look like. We'll look at the lies about grief and where God enters the picture. But we also spend some time in self-reflection about where and how WE are dealing with grief and, also, hear from others in similar situations what has been helpful.

 

This class will be taught be several different individuals with perspectives on Grief, including Rev. Bonny Coats, Pastor of Care and Outreach, Steve Mills, Hospice Chaplain, Jim Corder, Stephen's Minister, & Rev. Chris Talley, retired pastor and hospice chaplain.

Youth fall retreat 

​

On November 13-15 our youth will be going to Oakridge Camp in Anadarko, Oklahoma for our Fall Retreat. We are partnering with Ardmore Methodist to create an amazing retreat experience. We will leave from the church on Friday, November 13 at 6:45 pm and will return on Sunday, November 15 at 1:00-1:30 pm. We will have a pizza dinner at the church on November 13th starting at 6:00 pm for those interested. The retreat is $150 and the deadline to register is Friday, October 16.

Baptism Sunday 

​

Baptism is an outward sign of God's inward and invisible grace for us. It is something Jesus commands us to do in the Gospel of Matthew and is a vital step in our relationship with Jesus. At our baptism, we are not only rejecting the power of sin in our lives, we are also accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

​

At St. Andrew's we baptize through sprinkling, pouring, or immersion and are happy to use whichever way you prefer. There is just something special about the Christmas season and its culinary delights! We are looking for ministers willing to share special family recipes (secret or otherwise) in bite-sized samples for the public to enjoy. Use your imagination! Items can be baked, cooked, fried, iced or warmed by crockpot. We only ask that you make and serve them with love.

Gingerbread bash

It’s a swell time for Noel time, so grab your candy and join the Bash! This is a fun and interactive experience designed for your family. Together, you’ll build a gingerbread nativity, hear the Christmas story from the Bible, and discover why the very first Christmas was the greatest birthday party ever! Cost is $20 per family. All supplies are provided!

Mexico City Mission trip 2027 

​

Jesus calls His followers to, "Go, make disciples of all nations..." following His resurrection at the end of the Gospel of Matthew. Will you prayerfully consider going to Mexico City to help us live out Jesus' call?

​

We will be partnering with MEFI, a ministry who works with the local church to show mercy, share hope, cultivate faith and teach skills for integration among the homeless children and young people of Mexico City. This ministry utilizes four programs to help meet its goals: a proactive ministry, street-outreach ministry, a drop-in center and a rehab and integration program. All four of these ministries work together to help children and young people get off and stay off the streets, and each child is also given a Gospel presentation, which is the only true hope they have.

​

Expected cost of the trip will be around $1,500 per person depending on the cost of airfare. This is an adult mission trip, though high school students are able to go if accompanied by a parent. If you are interested in learning more about this trip and possibly going, then join us in the youth room following the 10:30 worship service on Sunday, September 13 for an informational meeting.

Youth spring break mission trip 

​

For this year's Spring Break Mission trip, we will be joining YouthWorks Ministry in what they have been doing in Kansas City, MO. Our primary mission will vary depending on the day but we will be serving by doing neighborhood cleanups, working at a local non profit Thrift Store, Habitat for Humanity and more!

 

Thanks to the generous support of our loving church, this trip will only cost $300 per student and leader. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due with the submission of this registration. The deadline to register is December 1st, 2026. Another $100 payment will be due December 15, 2026 and the final $100 payment will be due January 15, 2027. Dates will be March 14-19.
