The Journey
On Sunday mornings, we have The Journey beginning at 9:30am. During that time we offer donuts, juice and a time to relax. Then, at 9:45am we have announcements and break up into discipleship groups based on age. The Journey occurs on these dates in August: 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th.
Serving the Community…
Join us Sunday, August 1st as we join forces with other members of the church to serve food to those in need at Wiley Post Park. We will leave after the third worship service. Please bring money to eat lunch afterwards. We should return near 2:30pm.
Small Groups Kick-Off/Back2School Kick-Off
On Wednesday, August 18th we will be ringing in the new school year with a drive to get students to join our small groups, which focus on discipleship. This will be an eventful evening as it is every year. Come out and join us and get to know the fall small group leaders.
Fall 2010 Small Groups
Beginning Sunday nights August 22nd through October 17th (minus Labor Day, of course), small groups will be offered for all students. Groups meet in homes and are separated by age and gender. This semester the students will be working through the books Every Young Man’s Battle & Every Young Woman’s Battle. Groups begin at 6pm lasting until 7:30pm each Sunday night.
Staff Trainings
On Wednesday, August 11th, there will be training for all Student Ministry small group leaders at 8:15pm. Please mark your calendars and gather together with us.
On Sunday, August 15th, there will be a training session for all Student Ministry Journey (Sunday school) teachers at 9:45am. Please let us know if you will not be able to attend.
CAYAC (College and Young Adult Community)
Are you a college or career person here in the south OKC metro area? Then join us on Monday, August 30th for our CAYAC worship gathering at 7pm. There is always food, snacks, drinks and plenty of time to meet up with other people your age. This month we are hosting a throwback as former St. Andy’s Student Ministries Director Kenny Davis joins us to share his heart. There will be a live band and great people to connect with at CAYAC. We look forward to having you out, and please feel free to tell your friends…
