It is so easy to find ways
to be a minister at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church. Every Sunday, the
bulletin contains an insert that has a list of all the current events and
opportunities you can sign up for. Or if you don't see anything you like,
contact Sam (405-692-4242) in the church office and she can find something that will suit
your experience and preferences.
As of September 2010...
Upward Minister Sign-Up: It’s time to start thinking about Upward and how
you’d like to help this year. We are organizing our ministry teams and have a board in the
Fellowship Area where you can sign up NOW! Ministry areas include coaches, referees,
devotion leaders, prayer teams, concession workers and more! Please pray about where
you can be a part of this very important ministry.
Office Help Needed: St. Andrew’s office staff is looking for help with publications. We need people willing to be on a rotating team that comes in once a week to proof-read and print bulletins and once a month to proof-read and print the newsletter. If this sounds like something you could do, please contact the church office at 692-4242. Sign Up!
Parking Lot Security Ministers: Mike
Wilkes is forming a security detail to watch our parking lots while
we worship at St. Andrew’s. People are needed for all three worship services. If
you are interested, contact Mike at 794-3200.
Ministers are needed in the following
areas: chair ministry team, pew pocket
team, and sermon video team. Call the church office if you are interested.
Coffee Fellowship Ministry: Help with keeping fresh coffee available along with cream, sugar, etc. for the congregation during Sunday morning services. Contact Laura Aldridge.
Music Ministry Opportunities: There are many openings in the music ministry listed on the new Music Ministry & Worship news page more info.
Office Ministry Help: St. Andrew’s is looking for office assistant ministers. We’re hoping to put a team together that would require each person to work approximately 3-4 hours per month. Job duties would include answering phones and assisting visitors. If you could help in this area, please contact Mary Schellenger at 799-1302.
Bulletin Assembly Teams: We are also looking for people willing to give about one hour a week assembling the bulletins on Thursday afternoons. Each team is assigned one month at a time. If this sounds like something you would be interested in, please contact Mary Schellenger at 799-1302.
