Hey Kiddos – Happy May Day to you! May looks to be a very busy month with the end of school approaching fast. 

We are currently recruiting for our SUMMER SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS.  This 10 week session begins Sunday, June 1 and ends Sunday, August 3. We will have a training course on Wednesday, May 21, at 7:00pm. We have implemented new policies and procedures so you need to attend the training even if you have taught before. If you would like to serve the Lord and our children by teaching Sunday school this summer, please fill out the insert in the Sunday bulletin or contact Susan Morris at 692-4242, ext. 104. I ask you to lift this process up in prayer!

TODDLER TIME On Monday, April 28, we will be going to the OKC Zoo. Pack a lunch and join us for animal adventures. We would love to see you there! Be sure to bring a friend! If you have any questions, contact Amy Halverson at 692-4242, ext. 110. Our TODDLER TIME ministry, children birth through kindergarten, has been GREAT this year! Thank you to Amy Halverson and all the mommies who helped with this wonderful ministry.  On Monday, May 12, at 10:00am join us for a PICNIC AT THE PARK!  We’ll meet at Southlakes Park off SW 119th between Portland and Meridian for fun on the playground. Bring your sack lunch and a friend. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Halverson at 378-8170.

CLUB 56: Attention all 6th graders! We’re starting a 6TH GRADE BIBLE STUDY just for you! Come on Sunday, May 4 and Sunday, May 18, from 4:00pm-6:00pm in the CLC to enjoy fellowship, snacks, good discussion and more! Bring your Bible and bring a friend! If you can help provide snacks, call Susan Morris at 692-4242, ext. 104

Are your kids ready for some fun in the sun? SUMMER CAMPS are just around the corner. Grab some friends, throw a swimsuit in a bag, and let’s go to camp! We will be going to both Canyon and Crosspoint this summer. Mark your calendars now with the following dates and locations for camp: Sonshine Camp at Canyon, June 28-29th for children entering 1st & 2nd grade, Growin’ in Grace at Crosspoint, July 28-31st for children entering 3rd-5th grade, and T’weens Discover Camp at Crosspoint, July 28-31st for children entering 6th Grade. Be sure and pick up registration forms in the Children’s Ministry Office or the front office. Please call Susan Morris at 692-4242, ext. 104, if you have any questions.

PROMOTION SUNDAY: Sunday, June 1, will be our annual move up day! Please move up to the next age/grade Sunday school class that corresponds to the grade you will be entering in the fall when school starts.

Last but not least, VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL will be held July 14 - 18 from 8:45am - 12:00pm. This year our church will be fizzing with fun as we visit POWER LAB, where we will discover Jesus’ miraculous power! Mark your calendar now and tell all your friends about it.

Nursery Newz: Things continue to be very busy in the nursery. Please remember to keep our expectant mothers Brandi Castle, Amy Halverson, Monica McAfee, Janea Bertsch, Robin Wohletz, Hayley Nitchals, Melissa Sandburg, Shevaun Putnam, Kelly Stover, Angelique Martin, Julie Sanders, Amy Dawn Epperson, Natalie Frazier and Tami Thomason in your prayers.

Nursery - A wonderful nursery environment is provided each Sunday morning beginning at 8:10 a.m. Children ages 0 to 3 years old receive excellent attention in our nursery during Sunday School and worship. Stacy Roberts is the Nursery Supervisor. For nursery reservations for ministry events at St. Andrew's contact Tiffini at least 5 days prior to the event at (405) 692-4242, ext. 110.

Sunday School - We have sessions at 9:30 a.m., and 10:50 a.m. and the classes are available for 4 year olds, 5 year olds, 1st and 2nd graders, 3rd and 4th graders, 5th and 6th grade boys, and 5th and 6th grade girls.

Children's Bulletin & Worship Folders - Special church folders and bulletins are provided for children during worship. They are found at the back of the sanctuary each Sunday.

Children's Fellowship - Regular fellowship events are scheduled for the children beyond Sunday morning activities. Events include bowling, skating, miniature golf, Easter Egg Hunts, a Fall Festival (Oct) and gatherings at the park. Watch for upcoming events.

Toddler Time - Toddler Time is the second Monday of the month at 10:00 am. Children are invited to join us for a morning of stories , games, and crafts. Toddler Play Day is the fourth Monday of the month and includes activities such as picnics, trips to the zoo, and special children theater events.

Children's Library - A Library with books and videos appropriate for children of all ages is available and works on the "honor" system for the ease of the child. All material in the library emphasizes good morals and values thus encouraging positive character growth.

Kids in Ministry - Kids in Ministry involves children in drama, music , dance, puppets, outreach missions, crafts, and Bible study as they continue to grow in their faith. The program meets twice a Year (Spring and Fall) and culminates with a dramatic production both at Christmas and Easter.
