Alive On Saturday Night: You may have heard it referred to as Saturday Night Live, but either way, this ministry is one of the outreaches administered through Skyline Urban Ministries in the Oklahoma Methodist Conference www.okumc.org. Alive On Saturday Night meets every Saturday at 6:30 p.m. for a worship service in the church located at: 701 N.W. 8th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73102. After the service, visiting churches provide a hot meal for the area's congregation.
Alive on Saturday Night Update: Good food and good fellowship is what was experienced Saturday Night. The rain didn’t keep them away, as 90+ came out to receive a hot meal. The best part of the evening was seeing the work of God. Judy, a regular, was asked to lead us in prayer. It was awesome seeing how her faith has grown. Thank you to those who cooked and served. We couldn’t have done it without you. Join us on June 5, 2010 for the next Alive on Saturday Night.

Alive on Saturday Night is a worship service for the poor and homeless living on the downtown streets of Oklahoma City. You are welcome to drop by any Saturday night and attend the service and/or lend a helping hand with serving the meal and clean up. This is a mission opportunity that is available on a weekly basis and you do not have to wait for a group date set by St. Andrews. You presence is welcome on ANY Saturday. Volunteers should plan to eat on their own to leave plenty of food for the congregation. Also, the worship service includes an offering time and volunteers should prayerfully consider bringing a contribution. |
