Come be a part of this fun group just for women. Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 15th at 7pm in room B8 in the Ministry Training Center. All women are invited to attend and help plan and organize our events for the year. The meetings are usually an hour long or less. Childcare is not provided, sorry. The Women's Retreat "Divine Design" is scheduled for February 8th and 9th, 2008 at Crosspoint Camp in Kingston, OK. Ticket sales began Sunday, January 6th! The cost is only $60 for a weekend of fun and fellowship. Our guest speaker is Karen Chaffin, author of "Heavenly Minded for Earthly Good." We are excited to have YOU join us. Karen Chaffin was a self-proclaimed “pew potato” until God radically changed her heart and her life’s direction through a Bible study. Now passionate about the Word of God, she desires to help others discover the great adventure of loving God with all your heart, mind and soul.
For the past eighteen years Karen has shared her love for Christ and His Word with Sunday school classes, Bible study groups, and congregations of every denomination. She is presently in full time ministry, speaking to a wide variety of audiences in church, retreat, and conference settings. She has authored an eight week Bible study on Heaven, Heavenly Minded for Earthly Good.
Karen is a graduate of the College of Architecture at the University of Oklahoma. For nearly thirty years she operated her own custom home design firm. She and her husband Don live in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They have two adult children, Ross and Taylor, a son-in-law, Andy, and a grandbaby, Will.
